NO SAUGERTIES CASINO!

14 Things You Can Do

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO STOP THE CASINO

1.   Tell decision-makers what you think

2. Get your town on board

“No Casino” resolutions have been passed by the boards of 11 municipalities in Ulster County. The following have not yet voted on the issue: Ellenville (Village), Esopus, Hardenburgh, Hurley, Kingston (Town), Lloyd, Marlborough, New Paltz (Village), Rosendale, Shawangunk, Ulster and  Warwarsing.  If you live in one of the towns, call Susan at 246-1823 or email [email protected] to get more information to persuade your local board. The more united we are, the more likely the County Legislature will be to oppose a casino.

3. Educate yourself

Learn about the effects of casinos on on other towns and states.  If you don’t have easy Internet access or if you want to read research reports, visit our storefront at 91 Partition Street (next to Café Tamayo; hours 3:30-5:30 p.m. Friday-Monday).

4. Join an Action Committee
